JPMA Certified Guide
The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, JPMA, priority is to educate consumers on the importance of buying JPMA certified products. The JPMA Certification Program was established in 1976 and has continued to grow and play an increasingly important role in the juvenile products industry since the day it began. In addition to providing safety testing and certifications JPMA sponsors many programs including Baby Safety Month in order to keep parents informed.
They follow the ASTM standards which are developed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), manufacturers, retailers, and other industry members. Manufacturers must submit their products to be JPMA certified, it is not a requirement. All JPMA submitted products must go through rigorous testing and follow up inspection and testing using the ASTM standards for their product category. JPMA certified products are sure to be of the highest quality and durability due to their strict guidelines for testing products every quarter.
